Cellist portrays the fabric of life as we know it; a weave of kindness, love, laughter and light, intertwined with evil, sadness and strife. Just as with this war zone cellist; he knows not what the future will bring, or if he has a future, but he'll continue to make beautiful music, as he's called to do.

This piece debuted at Laguna Art-a-Fair in Laguna Beach, California. A juried summer-long festival, part of a well-known trio along with Sawdust Festival and Pageant of the Masters. Art-a-Fair is first place I showed my art publicly. It was an overwhelming undertaking for a newbie, but what an amazing springboard it turned out to be.
