'BEAUTY BORG IN LOVE' ©2023

It shouldn't have happened. She was built with no emotion. No one quite knows how she fell in love with her human handler. But she did. Now she must be shipped off to another galaxy. According to plan. Now she must experience heartbreak, like her human counterparts. Sucks to be her.

'IGNORANCE AND WANT'
2023
This tribute art is from the movie A Christmas Carol (with George C. Scott, my favorite version). As the Spirit of Christmas Present loosely quotes from the Dickens novel: "Look upon these. They are your children. They are the children of all who walk the earth unseen. Their names are Ignorance and Want. Beware of them. For upon their brow is written the word DOOM. They spell the downfall of you and all who deny their existence." A Dickens of a prophecy.

'A CAT, A CROW AND BANJOE' ©2021
The name of the instrument is not misspelled. Banjoe is the name of the person playing the instrument. (it's my art, I can name it what I want). This piece represents three things I love; cats, crows and banjos, expressed with retro charm and bold, forthright color.

'KAMANCHA' 2018
One of my earliest pieces, this tribute art was inspired by music video, Don't Break It with Kamancha (the musical instrument), by artists Anna RF. I like this imagery's sense of solitude and the somber expression on the musician's face. I gave it a more somber palette along with grungy elements and using actual photos of rock texture as an effect layer.

'NEVER AGAIN' ©2025
Part of a duo created around Valentine's Day. It's a Sketchie tradition to do Valentine-themed art. But my Valentine visions are not hearts and roses and puppy dog's tails. More like heartbreak and briers and tears in the night. This piece highlights my strong graphic roots.

'THE EVE OF DESTRUCTION' 2025
This image is part of my Eve of Destruction hexaptych, doing that thing I do best...doom & gloom and apocalyptic. The Eve of Destruction hexaptych is based on imagery from the Vietnam War, but have we changed much as a society since?

'WAR IS OXYTOCIN' ©2018
There's much to see in this piece, from the bullet bandolier to the face paint, the common Bic lighter and the sheer attitude with a robust treatment of exotic elements and street art edge.

'WOLF TOTEM' 2021
As a companion piece to The Great Chinggis Khan, Wolf Totem was inspired by the song of the same name by Mongolian metal artists, The Hu. In the song's official video I was captured by the imagery of gladiators, old and new on a dawn advance, and compelled to re-create it.

'BAY OF LIGHT' ©2018
This multi-layered digital gem is meant to convey a sense of peace and tranquility with its texture, color and light play. Many who have seen this piece expressed they would like to be there, traversing this bay. So would I.

'ONLY HAPPY WHEN IT RAINS' ©2024
I took a rare vacation recently and what did it do the whole time? It rained. Which is what inspired this piece. I'm not particularly happy when it rains. I love sunshine and blue skies, but, living through Southern California's many years of drought, we've learned to appreciate the precious dew from heaven.
