'EYES WITHOUT A FACE' ©2020
Part of the 2020 Vision Series of images and inspired by the Billy Idol song of the same name. With Covid-19 being the main theme of 2020, it was the year of the face mask; the year when noses and mouths were non-existent. Eyes took center stage and one had to perfect the expressive gaze.
'WELCOME TO THE UNDERWORLD' ©2024
The idea for this came while strolling through town listening to Hell by Squirrel Nut Zipper on the air pods. Not trying to glamorize such an odious place, after all..."In the afterlife / You could be headed for the serious strife / Now you make the scene all day / But tomorrow there'll be Hell to pay"...wise lyrics indeed.

'BEDOUIN' ©2021
Numerous effects layers make up Bedouin's romantic desert scenery and nomadic iconography. While political and economic changes have vastly affected the Bedouin way of life and are now but a remnant, I'm fascinated by things of an archaic, nomadic and sometimes piratical nature.

'SHE WEARS MY ART ON HER SLEEVES' ©2021
This piece is aptly named as her sleeves are comprised of many pieces of my artworks. I've always been fascinated with tattoos, from the time I was a kid and hoping to find the lick and stick tattoo in my box of Cracker Jack. Although tattoos are de rigueur in today's society, I'm fascinated by what they represent; an individual's freedom of artistic expression.

'BEAUTIFUL AND DANGEROUS' ©2022
What happens when B.G.'s had enough of your B.S.? Of anybody's B.S.? Of our movers' and shaker's B.S.? Of the world's B.S.? No victim here. She's ready to rock n' roll.
'SUSIE SPUTNIK' ©2018
Susie Sputnik was inspired by a jet-set jazz album cover, enhanced with mid-century mojo. Acid green, rust and orange is not a color combination many fall in love with but it depends on the subject matter. For Miss Sputnik, the colors are out of this world. Put her in a clean white frame. You'll love her to the moon...and back.

'SERPENT'S GATE AT WORLD'S END' ©2022
Fantasy or surrealism is not a genre I normally get into. I'm not even sure what inspired this piece, other than the fact I love Asian-inspired art. But the abstract dragon, the vintage color palette, the texture in scales and sky make this a fabulous first foray if I may say so myself.

'CHRISTMAS CACTUS' ©2023
Christmas Cactus is one of my favorite succulents, blooming beautifully in December. This painting is actually a slice of my patio view. And yes it's true, I can do light and bright when the mood strikes.
'ECHOES OF ANCIENT' ©2024
On the one hand, I create art with attitude, hints of violence and audacious color palettes, on the other hand, I create art of serenity and stillness with a gentler palette, as with "Echoes of Ancient' which the peace of a quieter, less busy, less noisy time.
